Felix is fatally ill and when his best friend Arthur has to tell him he does it so clumsily that Felix believes Arthur will die and decides he will give Arthur the best time of his life by checking off a very special bucket list.

Mika é uma adolescente de 14 anos que sonha com o acampamento de verão, mas, como castigo, é enviada para a fazenda da avó. Ao chegar lá, ela conhece o jovem Sam e o cavalo selvagem Ostwind. Como ninguém consegue domar o cavalo, Mika decide ir ao estábulo durante a noite e desse encontro nasce um dom especial: Mika tem a capacidade de conversar com Ostwind e outros cavalos.
