Aaron Jacob
Aaron is a composer, writer, filmmaker, and singer with experience in animation, live-action, theatre, and music. He currently works as a Production Supervisor for Marvel Studios at The Walt Disney Company on a new animated series for Disney+. Graduating Chapman University with a Screenwriting degree, he interned in creative development at Original Force 3D Animation and Patchwork Productions before being hired as OF3DA's Script Coordinator on the animated feature 10 Lives. He then went on to work as a Script & Post Coordinator at Bento Box Entertainment on several of their animation shows (Farzar, Paradise PD, Duncanville, Hoops, and Wolfboy). He began his work in music as a session singer for Disney TV Animation, with credits spanning 15-years, including Phineas and Ferb, Milo Murphy's Law, and The Lion Guard, among others. He also appeared in the Disney+ original animated film Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe, and is featured prominently on its companion soundtrack. As a composer, he started writing music for his colleagues' college thesis films, many of which went on to festival acclaim. In the same year, Aaron received Craft Awards in Music for two NYU thesis films, one of which is now distributed by DUST (Stevie's Aliens dir. Austin S. Harris). He co-composed the music for ARPO: Robot Babysitter for Amazon Kids+ and is working on a short film being produced through the Pixar Co-Op program. Alongside this work, he co-created the narrative horror anthology podcast Lucid with Harris and producer Justin Bunka, which he also writes the original score for. The soundtrack for the first season of Lucid is available on all major streaming platforms. He is currently sound designing and composing for a new to-be-announced narrative podcast series for a renowned independent media company. He has worked as a Music Editor on Disney TV Animation shows and would contribute his own compositional work to episodes of Milo Murphy's Law as an additional music composer. Aaron's work as a writer began with several successful short films he has written and directed. This includes the proof-of-concept short film Knight Watch starring Carolina Ravassa (Overwatch, Hispanglosaxon) and Bex Taylor-Klaus (Deputy, Voltron, Dumplin), which is based on his feature screenplay Knight Sky. Other highlights include Paralysis starring Amber Grace (Away) and Dom Fera (YouTube's DomincFear) and Riley starring Bex Taylor-Klaus and Vincent Martella (Phineas and Ferb, The Walking Dead, Everybody Hates Chris). His feature This Is Take One was placed in the Beverly Hills Film Festival in 2022. He co-wrote the pilot for the upcoming independent animated series Battle of the Bands. His war-fantasy feature screenplay, Moonchild, was optioned in 2017. Aaron is developing several other feature and television work for both live-action and animation. Aaron is a founding member and serves as the Development Manager of Debatable Productions, a production company that provides film, theatre, and music production opportunities to youth and young adults. While heading most of its film programs, Aaron has developed works from young writers ages 16-25 through workshop programs with the help of industry mentors like Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh (Co-Creators of Phineas and Ferb), Brian Dollenmayer (former WGN America Head of Marketing), and others. He directed DP's premiere stage production of the musical Cabaret in 2018 and sound-designed their follow-up musical, Sweeney Todd, in 2019. He will go on to sound design DP's 2022 musical, The Drowsy Chaperone.
