Kumaran Naidu is an award winning Director, Producer, and Scriptwriter of the highly acclaimed films Broken Promises and Run for your Life franchise. He started his film-making career in 2001 and has revolutionized independent film-making in the country. His experience in the film industry is extremely broad, and as such he is an accomplished film editor (Avid Media Composer), 3D visual effects artist and compositor (Maya, 3DS Max, Nuke, Fusion, After Effects) as well as an established DOP, employing the latest techniques in cinematography. His vast knowledge and experience in the film industry, has led him to develop a cost effective means of producing high quality feature films and TV series, with a minimal budget, by employing state of the art CGI techniques. He has a track record of 6 Feature Films and a TV Series to his name. He has made his debut onto the big screen in 2011 with his comedy blockbuster Broken Promises 3, which premiered on Ster Kinekor screens. He has been given an Honorary Award by the CFAD (Centre of Fine Arts and Animation Development) in 2008, for his contribution to the local film industry. Naidu believes in creating opportunities and building the local film industry. He therefore allows many aspiring actors, trainee technical crew, film students and the like to be a part of his productions, so that he can give on-set guidance and mentoring.
