Tony Wolf grew up in Rockville Centre, NY on Long Island and attended South Side High School. Known for his distinctive bass voice, the actor and singer studied with Sande Shurin's studio in New York City and improv comedy at UCB Theater. Favorite roles include Benvolio in "Romeo & Juliet" (national tour), Jacques in "As You Like It," Smudge in the harmony musical "Forever Plaid," and Banquo in "Macbeth." He attended Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts. TV commercials & industrials include: X-Men First Class Blu-Ray/DVD Release for VH1 (National); Sci-Fi Channel (National), Sony VAIO laptops, Marvin Windows. Radio commercials: ERA Real Estate, Port Authority of NY/NJ, Fabrikant Jewelers. Voice-over narration for the documentary "Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods" and the mockumentary "Venus & Lola: Behind The Phenomenon." Upcoming film: "Love In Sound", "Girl Clown," "A Quarter Muppet" and "Found In Time." His comedy videos have appeared on The Huffington Post and New York Magazine's entertainment site, Vulture. He has appeared off-Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre and has performed in various musical and non-musical & workshops in NYC with New Dramatists, BAM and The Public Theatre (including the role of Simon Stride in "Jekyll & Hyde" and Hal 9000 in the rock opera "Odyssey!" by Rob Lichter). Wolf has performed with Tony Award-winners Beth Leavel and Alice Ripey in workshops of new musicals and plays, as well as Tony Award-nominees Liz Larsen and Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q). Also workshop of rock musical "Galois," which went to the Sundance Theatre Lab. He MC'd / hosted a benefit at Lincoln Center for pre-Juilliard teens, at Merkin Concert Hall, which featured Elizabeth Pitcairn, violinist and owner of the famed $2 million Red Violin. Wolf sang for the 2 years at the annual Beatles Ukuelele Festival at Brooklyn Bowl, a weekend of indie musicians performing tunes by the Fab Four organized by Roger Greenawalt. "Hipster Job," in which he made a cameo appearance as Naked Abe Lincoln, was an official selection of the LA Comedy Shorts Film Festival in 2010. Wolf directed the short films "Inspiration" and "Sisters," and was the co-host of the The Action Room, an online pop culture radio & video show whose videos have been featured selections on Funny Or Die.com. He has also appeared in videos produced by College Humor. Additionally, Wolf is a writer and illustrator (and an avid comic book fan), having written & drawn 3 published comic book stories in The New York Times and provided several comics and essays for UK news site The New Statesman. Wolf has also provided storyboards for indie films. He loves smoothies.
