Viknesh Silvalingam
Viknesh is the founder of San Francisco film production company, A Viknesh Island Production. The company formed in 2014 is currently(2015) in the post production stage of its first feature film, Cold Pressed, a crime thriller about the fake olive oil industry. Prior to Cold Pressed, Viknesh produced and directed, True Love (under True Love Cinema LLP). A Viknesh Island Production is a full fledge production company capable of producing visually captivating and thought provoking feature films, commercials and music videos. At the ripe old age of 21 he aspired to be a filmmaker upon realizing that film as a medium has the ability to instill an everlasting impression on its audience. Having graduated from a polytechnic with an engineering diploma, he had to educate himself on filmmaking by reading, watching behind the scene videos, enrolling in workshops and working on numerous sets as a production assistant. All these was done while serving in the Republic of Singapore Navy as a Naval Combat Systems Specialist. Even with his tough and unpredictable work schedule, he managed to write scripts for short films and eventually produced and directed them. His hobby gradually turned into an obsession. In 2008, after completing his contract with the Navy, he pursued a Bachelor's degree in film production. Having grown up watching a staple diet of Hollywood movies, Viknesh made the most natural decision to have his education in the United States. In 2013, he graduated from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Motion Picture and Television Production. During his time at the Academy, he produced and directed a number of short films, music videos and commercials. With the skills and confidence he had inherited, he produced and directed his first feature film, True Love. Shot entirely in his native homeland Singapore, True Love is a classic American noir story about betrayal and love. Viknesh is inspired by news articles, fictional and non fictional books. He tends to package his films into a narrative crime story. "Everyone enjoys crime movies." Its through those films, that he challenges himself to convey a meaningful message to his audience. Firmly believing that just as the 'truth' varies from each individual, film can change the dynamics of perception as well, thus he creates with the motto, "The truth in life lies through the diopter."
Vikram
Vikram is an Indian film actor, voice actor and a playback singer. He made his debut in the 1990 film En Kadhal Kanmani, which was followed by a series of Tamil and Telugu films and supporting roles in few Malayalam films throughout the early decade. After the critical and commercial success of Sethu (1999) he has been part of numerous other commercially successful films and has earned major critical acclaim for many of his performances. During his years in the Indian film industry, he has won five Filmfare Awards as well as one National Film Award for Best Actor.
